About the Artist
Lanna Pejovic is a painter, currently working and residing in Honeoye Falls, NY. She received her BFA and MFA from the Tyler School of Art and was an apprentice to painter Richard Callner in Philadelphia, PA.
Pejovic has been an adjunct professor in the School of Art at the Rochester Institute of Technology since 1993, and also teaches at the Mill Art Center (Honeoye Falls). Pejovic has exhibited individually at venues including Main Street Arts (Clifton Springs), Arts & Cultural Council Gallery (Rochester), Graphic Collective Gallery (Belgrade, Serbia), and Ock Hee’s Gallery (Honeoye Falls), and in group shows at the Memorial Art Gallery, Schweinfurth Art Center (Auburn), and the Mill Art Center, among many others.
In regards to her work, Pejovic’s artist statement explains, “My style of painting is impressionistic and abstract, and I put emphasis on the experience of a place rather than an accurate description of it. In the studio, I approach painting as a dialogue between my intent and the elements of painting that are most important to me. These are color, structure, the physicality and texture of paint, the gesture and mark.”
Her work is in many private and public collections, including SUNY Geneseo (Geneseo, NY), City of Belgrade Cultural Archive (Belgrade, Serbia), and Gannett Corporation (Washington DC).

RoCo’s Davis-Havens Sales Gallery offers artworks of all styles at a range of prices, all to benefit Rochester Contemporary Art Center. Hundreds of artworks, which have been donated by collectors (and some artists), are rotated on view regularly. Artworks have been given expressly for this ongoing fundraiser so prices are often significantly discounted. All proceeds from the sale of these artworks support the long term future of RoCo.
Our Future Fund Featured Find is a new initiative highlighting a different artwork and artist each month.
