About the Artist
Connie Ehindero is an abstract landscape painter who works in encaustic and acrylics. She has been painting for nearly 20 years, discovering encaustics after seeing a demo by Kathryn Bevier. Ehindero enjoys the physicality of the medium – carving lines, the smell of the wax, and the unpredictability of how the wax hardens. Her art immerses viewers in the natural world; her ongoing series “Word Flow” merges art and words to expand that which cannot be expressed with words alone.
Ehindero received a Fine Arts degree from St. Lawrence, and studied at the London College of Printing, and Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester. She is a member of the Arena Art Group and Pittsford Fine Art.
At RoCo, Ehindero helped initiate the 2019 exhibition Landscapes and the Unbuilt; participated in the juried exhibition Last Year On Earth; and participates in both 6×6 and the Members Exhibition. Most recently, she has exhibited in the 20th annual Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters show; Art360 at The Williams Gallery; and in Trust the Land: Four Views at The Dove Block Project in Geneva.

RoCo’s Davis-Havens Sales Gallery offers artworks of all styles at a range of prices, all to benefit Rochester Contemporary Art Center. Hundreds of artworks, which have been donated by collectors (and some artists), are rotated on view regularly. Artworks have been given expressly for this ongoing fundraiser so prices are often significantly discounted. All proceeds from the sale of these artworks support the long term future of RoCo.
Our Future Fund Featured Find is a new initiative highlighting a different artwork and artist each month.
