in between presents paintings and sculptures by Malin Abrahamsson and Ricky Sears, whose works are influenced by their first encounters with Rochester's urban landscape. The works in this exhibition relate to construction, demolition, and the passage of time within urban spaces. in between navigates emptiness and identifies potential in the often ignored corners of our city. A common theme running through this "outsider’s portrait" is the 6 inch posts that encircle unused and abandoned parcels of urban land throughout Rochester. Abrahamsson and Sears (Brooklyn, NY) were impacted by the large number of these lots. They continue to explore and envisage new landscapes through the works in this exhibition.
