Join Teaching Artists ROC and RoCo for your last chance to make 6x6 artworks! TAROC artists Jennifer Jones and Chloe Cheatle will lead participants in 6x6 art-making session related to climate, our environment and nature in general in partnership with Climate Solutions Accelerator’s annual summit!

Paper Quilt by Number with Chloe Cheatle
Dive into a hands-on crafting session where you’ll transform simple materials into bold, creative collages. Follow a grid or design your own—there are no limits! Layer, draw, and make it your own. All materials provided. Just bring your imagination!

Zentangle with Jennifer Jones
The artist will use the Adinkra symbol from West Africa called Asase Ye Duru - in the Akan language, meaning "the earth has weight". It represents Mother Earth and her important life sustaining ability.

Each artist will lead two sessions, which will begin at 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
Admission is $2 / free for members and refreshments will be served.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Chloe Cheatle is a Fine Arts student at RIT. Majoring in Sculpture and minoring in Museum Studies, she hopes to pursue a career in Object Conservation. She is a mixed-media artist with interests in Art History, textiles, metalwork, and printmaking. She would describe her work as experimental, exploring themes of perception, growth and self identity, as well as practical investigation of materials and processes. Chloe appreciates the opportunity to expand her Teaching Artistry practice, fostering environments where participants can freely express themselves and engage in a nurturing space for artistic growth. cheatlec

Jennifer is a culture bearer for people of African Descent in the Americas and the Caribbean. Community, creativity, and exploration are parts of her life’s theme. As an educator, she’s able to practice these traits to their fullest potential. Additionally, she loves to learn! Her knowledge explorations are evident in the degrees she holds. These are from the State University of New York, College at Brockport; the University of Accra in Ghana West African; and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, West Africa. Her bachelor’s degrees are in African and African-American Studies, Psychology, and Studio Art. Additionally, she holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and an Advanced Certificate in School District Leadership. peace_j3
