About the Artist

Ellen Kossoff

Ellen Kossoff is an American fine artist currently residing in Buffalo, New York. Kossoff uses markers, pens, wax or oil paint in place of words to create narrative works. Her pieces are unplanned – she allows her creativity to flow to craft a colorful, vibrant visual narrative. The audience is invited into her art to discover a new story.

Kossoff specializes in collage, and is influenced by Joan Miro, Charles Burchfield, and Achille Gorky. She also draws inspiration from her travels around the US, China, the Middle East, and Europe. She has exhibited and donated many artworks to galleries and shows in the Buffalo area. You can learn more about the artist on her website, ellenkossoff.com.

RoCo’s Davis-Havens Sales Gallery offers artworks of all styles at a range of prices, all to benefit Rochester Contemporary Art Center. Hundreds of artworks, which have been donated by collectors (and some artists), are rotated on view regularly. Artworks have been given expressly for this ongoing fundraiser so prices are often significantly discounted. All proceeds from the sale of these artworks support the long term future of RoCo.
Our Future Fund Featured Find is a new initiative highlighting a different artwork and artist each month.
