Calling all artists! Show your latest artwork in RoCo’s 32nd Annual Members Exhibition. All entries will be exhibited and be eligible for numerous awards. All artistic media are welcome with maximum dimensions of 32” x 32” x 32”. Artwork should be delivered ready to hang, framed, and wired. Not a member yet? Join when you drop off your work.
The Days the Artists Spoke is a series of short, back-to-back artist talks and a great opportunity to learn more about the participating artists. Don’t miss this eclectic celebration of the visual arts in Rochester and the surrounding region.
Welcome II brings together a diverse group of creatives to help build a more supportive and sustainable art community. These events highlight a range of artists from dancers to photographers to musicians, and focus on those who recently moved here or have returned to Rochester.

Annual Members Exhibition Awards
All entries are eligible for the following awards and the winners will be announced on opening night.
Members Choice Award:Jolanda Chesonis
What’s your favorite? The Members Choice Award is an interactive award selected by RoCo members. Green stickers are given at the Admissions Desk, one sticker = one vote. The stickers will accumulate for the duration of the exhibition and the winner will be announced on the last day of the Members Exhibition. Cash prize and bragging rights!
9th Floor Artists Collective: Madison Marzec
Awarded by the 9th Floor Artists Collective in recognition of a great piece of art that exemplifies the great talent that we have in our creative community.
Bill Havens Award: Christina Bang
Annually awarded to one participating artist. Chosen and given by Anne Havens in memory of her son Bill. $200
Genesee Land Trust Award: Phil Bliss
Awarded by Genesee Land Trust to celebrate the inspiration of nature. Selected by Lindsay Recktenwald $200
Puerto Rican Festival Award: José Olivieri Rivera
Awarded by the Puerto Rican Festival in recognition of inspirational visual art. Selected by the President of the Festival $100
Wow Award: Meddle Up Your Glass (Cathy Lucisano)
Annual award given to an artwork that simply makes one say “Wow!” Selected by Bleu Cease, Executive Director of RoCo. $100 and a Household membership to RoCo.
Print Club Award: Jappie King Black
The Print Club of Rochester has selected one artist whose technical skills expand the traditional definition of printmaking. $35 basic membership to PCR and a $75 cash prize.
Edge Award: Nilson Carroll
Art as inquiry. This award is presented to an artist whose work seems to be stretching boundaries, standing at the edge of what they know, peering into unforeseen territory. Selected and supported by Colleen Buzzard. $200
Arena Art Group Awards: Bob Conge & Jennifer Hecker
These annual awards are given by the Arena Art Group, whose purpose is to promote interest in exploratory art forms. The winners will be selected by members of the Steering Committee. $100 each
Flower City Arts Center Award: Armando Olivieri Rivera
One-year Center membership and a $150 gift certificate redeemable for classes. Selected by Flower City Arts Center staff.
Visual Studies Workshop Award: Paola Betchart
Selected by VSW staff. $200
City Newspaper Critic’s Pick: Susan Begy
Selected by Rochester City Newspaper Arts & Entertainment Editor Rebecca Rafferty. Artwork will be featured in City Newspaper.
Main Street Arts Award: Ann McCracken
Awarded for exceptional use of materials/medium. $100
Student Choice Award:Jolanda Chesonis
Selected by college students from across the region. Students vote throughout the exhibition and the winner will be announced on the last day of the exhibition. Along with the fame, the winner will receive a RoCo Thredz shirt and token for the Art-o-Mat! *Students! In order to participate, visit us during the members exhibition!
Wall Therapy Award: Stephfea Jackson
Selected by Ian Wilson and Erich Lehman. Wall Therapy swag bag with 2013 book, shirt, signed can from a WT artist, and more goodies.
The Yards Award: Julie Chen
Selected by Kristina Kaiser. The Yards Collective swag bag filled with a T-Shirt, Limited Edition Print, and a one year membership to The Yards.
