Artist vs Artist is one of four special exhibitions of photographs, drawings, and sketchbooks in celebration of the life and work of Rick Hock. This program is presented in partnership with the Memorial Art Gallery, Visual Studies Workshop, and the George Eastman Musuem. Hock made extraordinarily complex images filled with references to the history of art, folklore, philosophy, psychology, and poetry in his uniquely dark yet playful manner of association. He was also deeply connected to the greater community of Rochester through his longstanding work with virtually every cultural and higher education institution in the region.
